Our Mission
The MechTech Laboratory, located within Columbia University’s Mechanical Engineering department, provides a dynamic learning environment for both undergraduate and graduate students. Through courses like Mechatronics, Robotics Studio, and MEMS Sensors & Systems, students engage in hands-on exploration of electromechanical systems.
Our mission is to deepen understanding of embedded systems, fostering innovation and excellence in the fields of mechanical engineering and technology.
What We Offer
MechTech offers a space equipped with workstations that include essential tools and instruments for testing, such as power supplies, function generators, multimeters, and oscilloscopes. Additionally, we have a soldering station where students can prototype electronic components. We offer a wide range of resources and materials for constructing and testing both analog and digital electronic circuits.
We are excited to welcome students to our newly renovated space, which was updated during the 2023-24 academic year!
